Vision of the Quality Assurance Unit

The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Home Economics – Helwan University aspires to become one of the leading central units at the national level, and a pioneering model of excellence in implementing and activating quality assurance systems in education. The Unit aims to be a cornerstone in integrating cultural and societal knowledge at the local, regional, and international levels through central activities that contribute to community service, stemming from the mission of the Faculty.

Mission of the Quality Assurance Unit

The Quality Assurance Unit seeks to implement quality assurance systems and accreditation standards in educational programs, scientific knowledge, and community service, aiming to achieve the highest levels of academic and material performance. The Unit also works to promote a culture of quality among all categories within the Faculty and to monitor the preparation of periodic reports on national performance.

Objectives of the Unit

The Importance of the Quality Assurance Unit’s Tasks and Activities for the Faculty:

Supporting the Faculty’s administration in achieving its mission and strategic objectives.
Monitoring the Faculty’s academic activities, including the fulfillment of academic requirements, reviewing program and course specifications, preparing program reports, and implementing improvement decisions—particularly in areas such as early childhood and childcare programs.
Setting timelines for the preparation, follow-up, and review of the Faculty’s self-evaluation reports according to the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
Monitoring and developing student assessment systems, and ensuring faculty members are trained and aware of modern and technical evaluation methods.
Implementing the documented action plan through the relevant technical committees in alignment with the Unit’s mission.
Conducting awareness campaigns on quality culture and related developments, targeting students, academic staff, and administrative personnel.
Activating internal quality review mechanisms for educational programs with input from external reviewers, final-year students, alumni, employers, and others.
Building a comprehensive database with statistical information on all Faculty activities, human resources, available capabilities, and services in support of academic programs, community service, environmental development, postgraduate studies, and research activities.

1- مد جسور الثقة بين الطالب واعضاء هيئة التدريس وادارة الكلية وتوطيد العلاقة بينهم.

2- زيادة وعى الطالب بأهمية تطوير جودة التعليم وفلسفه التقدم للأعتماد واهميه ودورة الحيوى فى لتحقيق ذلك.

3- معرفة رأى الطلاب فى العملية التعليمية والكتاب الجامعى واعضاء هيئة التدريس وطرق التقويم المتبعه.

4- الأخذ بآراء الطلاب فى وضع خطط التحسين والتطوير الخاصة باالفاعلية التعليميه والقدره المؤسسية .
