It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Home Economics, a distinguished academic institution dedicated to advancing community service and environmental development through excellence in education, scientific research, and community engagement. The Faculty is committed to harnessing its academic expertise and specialised knowledge to address societal needs and contribute to sustainable development through its diverse academic departments, namely the Department of Clothing and Textiles, the Department of Family and Childhood Institutions Management, the Department of Home Economics Education, and the Department of Leather Industries. Through these departments, the Faculty prepares highly competent graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to respond to contemporary challenges and contribute effectively to the sustainable development of society.

The Vice Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development firmly believes that meaningful community engagement is fundamental to achieving sustainable societal progress. Accordingly, it seeks to strengthen strategic partnerships with governmental, private, and civil society organisations in order to implement impactful initiatives, professional training programmes, and public awareness activities that address community needs and enhance quality of life.
