Establishment of the Unit

The Graduate Follow-up Unit was established as one of the outcomes of the Continuous Development and Accreditation Project, by Faculty Council Resolution No. 386 dated April 26, 2010.

Mission of the Graduate Follow-up Unit

The College Graduate Follow-up Unit seeks to strengthen effective communication between the college and its graduates, and to contribute to their qualification for better job opportunities by aligning learning outcomes with labor market requirements, societal needs, and the rapid scientific development in the field of specialization.

Objectives of the Graduate Unit

Objectives of the Graduate Unit:

  • Communicating with graduates and the college with its various departments, and aligning learning outcomes with labor market requirements.

  • Guiding final-year students toward available job opportunities in the labor market, which are announced by the unit through its various communications with employers.

  • Gaining the trust of the Egyptian and international communities in the educational outcomes of the college’s programs.

  • Promoting the values of excellence and competitiveness in all disciplines affiliated with the college.

  • Qualifying graduates and assisting them in obtaining job opportunities inside and outside the country.

  • Building a comprehensive database of the college’s graduates.

  • Preparing graduates to enter the labor market by offering training courses in various fields of the college.

  • Assisting companies and institutions seeking employees to easily access graduates.

  • Communicating with institutions, companies, and ministries at the local, Arab, and international levels, and coordinating with them to absorb the largest possible number of graduates in various fields.

  • Communicating with graduates through various communication channels to strengthen their relationship with the college.

  • Guiding students before graduation and graduates on how to prepare for job searching.

  • Conducting research, studies, and surveys related to labor market requirements and graduates, in terms of the number of required specializations, the quality and efficiency of graduates, and the level of required skills.

  • Following up on graduates' status in terms of job alignment with their academic qualifications and personal skills by preparing numerical indicators and research studies that support the alignment between higher education outcomes and labor market requirements in terms of planning, follow-up, evaluation, and feedback.

  • Coordinating with civil society institutions related to the study and development of human resources and the employment of the college’s graduates.

  • Opening communication channels with various employment entities (such as labor offices, governorates, companies, factories, research bodies, hospitals, university cities, etc.) to obtain their needs and announce them to students.

  • Other tasks to ensure the efficient performance of the unit.

Main Tasks of the Graduate Follow-up Unit

Main Tasks of the Graduate Follow-up Unit:

  • Forming the organizational structure of the unit.

  • Establishing the unit.

  • Holding regular meetings of the unit’s board and preparing an annual report on the unit’s achievements and the effectiveness of the action plan.

  • Preparing the graduate data form.

  • Distributing the form to final-year students and graduates of all college departments, collecting them, and updating the database.

  • Preparing individual files for graduates and conducting periodic surveys to measure graduate satisfaction with the services provided by the college, analyzing the data, and presenting it in periodic reports for discussion and corrective action.

  • Creating a database for the Graduate Follow-up Unit and publishing it on the college’s electronic portal.

  • Organizing a special meeting between final-year students and the unit’s officials to explain the importance and role of the unit in linking graduates with the college and the labor market, and to inform them of the efforts made in the field of graduate employment.

  • Conducting field studies and using various communication methods to reach employers and assess their need for the college's graduates.

  • Organizing the periodic graduate employment forum hosted by the college with employers.
