The emergence of unit

The Quality Management Unit is a scientifically independent unit reporting to the Dean of the College, administratively, and the University Quality Assurance Center, technically. The unit is the organizational entity technically responsible for developing the College's strategy to ensure continuous development and accreditation. Based on Helwan University Council Resolution No. 333 dated February 25, 2007, approving the establishment of a Quality Assurance Unit in each of the university's faculties, and emphasizing the need to complete the organizational structure of the Quality Assurance Units in accordance with the organizational structure of the University's Quality Assurance Center in the faculties affiliated with Helwan University, the formation of the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit's Board of Directors began on April 15, 2007. Approval was granted to complete the formation after the faculty members were appointed on December 10, 2007.

Vision and Mission

Unit Vision:

To establish an effective internal system that ensures the security and stability of the working environment at the Faculty of Home Economics against crises and disasters.

Unit Mission:

To develop and implement plans and programs aimed at securing the working environment and reducing the risks and negative impacts resulting from crises and disasters.

Strategic Objectives of the Unit:

- Take preventive measures to avoid or reduce the occurrence of crises.
- Plan in advance to confront crises and manage them effectively.
- Prepare scenarios and response plans for crises.
- Promote cultural awareness regarding crisis and disaster management and how to implement response actions through training simulations for faculty and staff.
- Work on updating early warning systems and crisis response mechanisms.

Unit Duties and Responsibilities:

- Study and diagnose the crisis promptly and effectively.
- Prepare immediate action plans to face and manage the crisis.
- Minimize opportunities for the crisis to escalate.
- Quickly take necessary corrective actions during plan execution.
- Submit reports to the unit head for crisis management.
