Scientific progress in various fields requires standards of values and ethics that represent a charter, a reference guide, and a foundation for faculty members, support staff, and researchers at the university. Ethics and honesty are the foundation of success, and academic success is the foundation of the progress of nations and peoples. Ethics are a necessity of civilized life and a fundamental requirement for the organization and stability of society. From this perspective, the Scientific Research Ethics Charter was prepared to serve as a guide for all beneficiaries of scientific research at Helwan University—researchers, supervisors, professors, and even the academic community as a whole—to conduct appropriately toward scientific research. The charter specifies standards of good conduct, academic integrity, and general principles that set guidelines for discussing ethical issues that should prevail within the Helwan University community.
