The Academic Support and Advising Unit (for undergraduate and postgraduate students) was established as part of the implementation of quality assurance and accreditation systems at the faculty to achieve the following objectives:

• Providing exceptional support and care for outstanding and talented graduates of the faculty, in line with the state’s policy of fostering excellence.

• Benefiting from the expertise of distinguished educational and scientific professionals to guide faculty members in adopting precise global orientations and modern educational methods, creating a healthy and psychologically supportive environment that strengthens close ties between faculty members and students, and fostering an outstanding academic and social climate.

• Addressing the challenge of large student numbers in higher education and the need for an appropriate educational and social environment to develop exceptional abilities and enhance students’ skills, including helping them compete in the local and regional job markets.

• Creating shared academic and cultural activities between faculty members and students, enabling positive academic and social interaction, utilizing faculty members’ educational expertise, and employing their scientific capabilities to support struggling students and nurture outstanding ones.

• Providing the academic guidance needed by students, including outstanding ones, to ensure the smooth completion of their academic studies and degree programs.

• Establishing communication channels in cooperation with faculty leadership, academic departments, and administrative units to support the efforts of the Academic Support Office in finding solutions to student problems.

• Promoting the overall development of the academic experience and enhancing student life within the framework of cooperation among all faculty staff.
