Vision of the IT Unit:

To lead in digitizing and automating administrative processes, models, and transactions at the Faculty of Home Economics, Helwan University, in a way that benefits all educational, research, and community domains. This supports institutional capacity and decision-making processes, ultimately ensuring the efficient and effective use of information systems and enhancing overall performance quality across all college sectors.

Mission of the IT Unit:

The unit's mission is to provide secure, integrated technological solutions to support all administrative, educational, research, and community processes—aimed at improving the performance level of the faculty and enhancing its internal and external visibility. The unit also seeks to keep pace with technological advancements and elevate the digital and technological capabilities of all faculty members and staff.

Objectives of the IT Unit:

The unit works to achieve the following goals:

1. Utilize information technology to support educational, research, community, and administrative activities at the faculty.
2. Develop procedures in all fields to deliver outstanding electronic services to faculty members and the external community.
3. Provide consultancy, electronic solutions, and technical studies for various faculty activities.
4. Continuously document the faculty's activities, policies, and decisions using diverse methods.
5. Digitize administrative work at the faculty to facilitate electronic storage, retrieval, and document circulation.
6. Provide the necessary administrative information and data to support decision-making processes.
7. Establish and implement policies and regulations for IT usage within the faculty.
8. Promote the use of electronic systems and digital platforms to enhance educational programs and produce e-courses in cooperation with specialized centers.

Organizational Structure of the Unit

IT Unit Management Board:
The board is formed and approved by a Faculty Council resolution for a two-year term, and includes:
1. The Dean of the Faculty or their delegate (Chair of the Board)
2. Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development
3. Director of the Quality Assurance Unit
4. Director of the Production Unit
5. Director of the IT Unit
6. Deputy Director of the IT Unit
7. Faculty Secretary
8. A representative from the Student Union
