Helwan University Students Produce National Education Program T-shirts at the Faculty of Home Economics

In line with Helwan University’s commitment to fostering national belonging among its students, the Production Unit at the Faculty of Home Economics has delivered the first batch of National Education Program T-shirts to female students, in cooperation with the Military Education Department that oversees the program’s implementation.
As a first stage, 600 T-shirts were delivered out of a total of 2,000 planned, aiming to unify the appearance of participating students while promoting identity, discipline, and patriotism.
Prof. Elsayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, affirmed that this initiative is a successful model of activating the role of production units across university faculties, transforming them into effective support mechanisms for awareness programs. He noted that the achievement reflects the university’s vision of linking education with production and serving both the campus and society. He praised the Faculty of Home Economics for its applied contribution, which aligns with the national strategy of building genuine student awareness.
Prof. Enas Bedair, Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics, stated that the project showcases the abilities of the faculty’s students and the expertise of its academic staff. She emphasized that the design and production were carried out with the highest levels of quality and commitment.
Prof. Khaled Abed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the initiative is a practical application of the faculty’s mission to support nationally significant projects. He added that it enhances students’ productive skills by engaging them in real-life contributions that directly serve the university. The Production Unit, he noted, has become a model for utilizing internal resources to provide high-quality products that meet institutional needs.
Colonel Emad Hamdy, Director of the Military Education Department, underlined that the National Education Program aims to instill loyalty, belonging, and national awareness through specialized lectures and activities. He pointed out that distributing the T-shirts is a valuable addition to the program, reinforcing national identity among students both organizationally and morally.
The production and delivery of the T-shirts were overseen by Prof. Medhat Abu Heshema, Director of the Production Unit and Head of the Clothing and Textiles Department, together with Dr. Hoda Mohamed Shaaban, Director of the Faculty’s Production Unit Branch at Helwan University. The project was successfully executed with the enthusiastic participation and precision of students, ensuring outstanding quality at every stage of production.
