Activities of the Celebration of World Orphans’ Day
for the Home Economics Program in Teaching Students with Special Needs
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, Prof. Dr. Walid El-Sorougy, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the Faculty Administration represented by Prof. Dr. Enas Badr, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Ahlam Abdel-Azeem, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of the Department of Educational Home Economics, the Faculty of Home Economics celebrated World Orphans’ Day.
As part of the celebration, students of the Home Economics Program for Teaching Students with Special Needs visited Al-Balad Association and celebrated with children with special needs. The event included:
- Distributing gifts that contribute to developing their sensory and motor skills.
- Sharing iftar with the children.
- Organizing diverse educational activities prepared by the program’s students, aiming to foster multiple sensory and motor skills among the children of the Association.
At the conclusion of the celebration, meetings were held with Dr. Hadiya, Head of the Association, in addition to advisory sessions with the mothers of the children. The event ended with taking commemorative photos with the children.
The visit was also joined by Prof. Dr. Wafaa Shokry.
